On Holiday

Our first official "time off" since the end of law school/Bar exam. After church on Easter Sunday we headed up to the mountains for a little bit of skiing. We stayed in Arrowhead just west of Beaver Creek - it such a fantastic week that nobody wanted to come home. Sophie went to ski school for the first time - she did great, even though some boy stole her gloves. Patrick enjoyed a beautiful day of snowboarding with our friend Grace. I sadly did not partake but am hopeful for next season! My mom and Aunt Linda came out to watch the hillarious ski school production. Thomas was chomping at the bit to get out there too - next year buddy.

Love the thumbs up from Sophie. Do they always start kids on skis? Just wondering since you are a boarding family. How fun that she loved it. With Auntie Grace in the mix you might have an Olympian on your hands.

Unfortunately they don't offer snowboarding school until age 7. I think it has something to do with balance and being turned sideways. Plus, Grace said it's much easier to learn how to ski first, and then to move on to boarding. It sure was fun though watching her. Next time we'll just take her out on our own - seemed like a lot of time was wasted with all of the kids in the class.
