DH Swim

We meet a sweet group of friends at the Downing House every Monday for swimming and lunch. It really has been the highlight of our summer this year and I hope it will be a tradition for many more to come. Certainly a blessing to spend time with these friends of ours on a weekly basis. Today was the last day most of us could be there since school is starting for some families this week. We missed the Dornbirers and Yonans today but snapped some photos of most of the gang before the summer comes to an end...
I learned it is very very difficult to get this many children to look at the camera and be happy all at once.
Mrs. Jill Gilley gets the award for most awesome smile.

On the whole, God's love for us is a much safer subject to think about than our love for Him. Nobody can always have devout feelings: and even if we could, feelings are not what God principally cares about. Christian Love, either towards God or towards man, is an affair of the will.
